Sew Bee Mine on Etsy

I have had a booth at The Phoenixville Farmer's Market on the 2nd Saturday of each month for the past 10 years. I do have a bit of a following there, many people just keep coming back for more.....which is fabulous. :)

This holiday season as I watched people fawning over and buying so many one of a kind wearable art aprons I realized that I need to expand my audience.

I love the market because it's literally a five minute drive from my home/studio, and The Phoenixville Farmer's Market is really a special place where people not only come to buy food from local farmers, they also come to have breakfast or lunch at one of the fabulous food trucks. They come to listen to live music, and/or a food demo of some kind and they come to just hang out. It's a place to see all your friends!

Anyway, I just opened up a special Etsy Shop just for Sew Bee Mine, 

I hope people come there and support it as well.

Blinging in the New Year for SewBeeMine Aprons

When I first started offering wearable art one of a kind aprons at my local farmer's market people liked them but would say they were too pretty to wear. I made a sign saying NOT too pretty to wear and that seemed to have broken the ice.

The aprons have really taken off and I love to make them because each one is different and so far that is keeping me interested in making them. Encouraged by Happy Customers I'm getting ready to take the aprons up a notch.

Making Comfort Bags for Kiwanis

Starting the new year off with a project for Kiwanis, creating Comfort Bags for moms who have a baby in NICU at our local hospital. They are to be filled with donated snacks and other things. Moms will use these to transport breastmilk to the hospital from home.

I designed a fully lined, gusseted and insulated cloth bag with straps, there is a pocket inside to hold an ice pack. There is a lot of fabric on hand in my studio, so there will be a variety to choose from. 

Believe it or not the task at hand is to make 50 of these in the coming weeks/months, which is about a years supply!
