Making Comfort Bags for Kiwanis

Starting the new year off with a project for Kiwaniscreating Comfort Bags for moms who have a baby in NICU at our local hospital. They are to be filled with donated snacks and other things. Moms will use these to transport breastmilk to the hospital from home.

I designed a fully lined, gusseted and insulated cloth bag with straps, there is a pocket inside to hold an ice pack. There is a lot of fabric on hand in my studio, so there will be a variety to choose from.

Believe it or not the task at hand is to make 50 of these in the coming weeks/months, which is about a years supply!
